Ilmor Marine Engines Become Standard in Hacker-Craft Boat Models
Feb 14, 2013MIAMI, FL (February 14, 2013) – Ilmor Marine is now the standard engine option on all Hacker-Craft boats beginning in 2013.
The Hacker Boat Company is the world’s largest manufacturer of classic mahogany motorboats. Each Hacker-Craft is hand crafted at the company’s new Ticonderoga, NY production facility by master boat building craftsmen who spend over 1400 hours of labor to build every boat. The Hacker Boat Company builds runabouts, sport boats, launches and utilities from 26 to 35 feet, as well as custom designed boats.
Entering its tenth year in the marine industry, Ilmor Marine offers normally aspirated, gasoline power plants ranging from 320hp to 725hp, across both V8 and V10 engine platforms. With an uncompromising focus on performance, quality, craftsmanship and appearance, Ilmor was a natural choice for Hacker Boat Company which shares the same principals. Ilmor’s global emissions compliance and existing worldwide service network also fit well into The Hacker Boat Company’s plans for expanding its international distribution.
Throughout 2012, the two companies worked together on several boats for which Ilmor provided engines from both its high performance marine and recreational marine lines. Among the projects was the custom designed
Tommy Bahama Edition Hacker-Craft, built in partnership with global lifestyle brand Tommy Bahama, and powered by Ilmor’s 430hp 6.2L OPS engine.
"We look forward to a long partnership with The Hacker Boat Company," said Jessica Gamarra, sales and marketing director for Ilmor. "As a company that hand builds our performance engines, we appreciate Hacker-Craft’s quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail. Their boats provide a beautiful showcase for our products, and we are proud to provide the performance and reliability their customers require."
